Litter Collection

As part of our regular grounds maintenance visits we can provide a litter picking service. Litter on your site will create a poor impression of your business or home and will also constitute a health and safety hazard. Our litter picking sites vary from public, private to road verge sites, where rubbish needs to be removed for health and safety purposes. The sites are surveyed before work commences (ie; to prevent personal and mower damage reducing the risk of flying objects and risk to the general public). Signs are erected where appropriate. Where heavy items are encountered support is available for other team members.

At North West Maintenance our staff wear the appropriate PPE equipment, gloves, boots, protective clothing, visibility vests, they use the correct litter pickers, refuse sacks and entry hoops

Maintenance is carried out for this equipment on a daily basis. Hand wash, soap and towels are provided on each van along with eye care solution and Sharps kits for hazardous waste removal.
